1.0 Noise and Distortion
- Noise and distortion is anything that degrades the
quality of information in an image
- Noise can be in the analog or digital domain and
tends to be local
- Once in the digital domain there are a few simple
ways to characterize the noise
- Distortion tends to be a global effect,
such as image system or lighting effects
Put text on a separate layer or a separate file, so it is not
changed by any of the image processing steps.
