An article is a type of adjective which makes a noun specific or
indefinite.
In English there are only three articles: the definite article
the and the indefinite articles
a and an.
The article a is used before consonant sound, while the article
an is used before vowel sounds.
A demonstrative is an adjective (or a pronoun) which points out which item
is being referred to.
In English there are only four demonstratives:
this that these those.
A demonstrative pronoun is a demonstrative used in the place of a noun.
A demonstrative adjective is a demonstrative used to modify a noun.
Demonstrative adjective: May I see that book?
Demonstrative pronoun: May I see that?
